And yes, we now have Red, Green, Blue and Black for our ultra-cheap whiteboard. And in-between all the notes from interviews and reminders on the board Vivian has instructed me to draw the following, seemingly at random:

-Snowman
-Reindeer
-Happy Faces
-Bunny
-Daddy w/ glasses on
-Daddy Yawning

It won't be long before we have an entire forest of characters up there.

Thanks for the post, Vince. The above bug has been brought to our attention, and we're working on a solution. While I can't comment on the funding situation at this time, I will be able to say something about it in the near future. Working with the Pete Contstant and the City of San Jose has been great. We had a huge success with our "download day". We'll be rolling out the web version of our website very soon, and we'll also be issuing some bug fixes on the smartphone side of things very soon as well. Try out http://www.seeclickfix.com while you're waiting for CitySourced if you have some streetlights and potholes to fix.

You can download the app from the store. You'll be able to see all issues reported nearby. In San Jose alerts will be sent to San Jose 311. No one is really using it their yet so feel free to let us know how responsive they are. Get your friends to vote the issues up if they really aren't listening.

About 33% of the 11,000 issues reported have been fixed. We'll try to find ways to help Gov and communities get that number up but for now...not bad right?

Exactly, that is what Fair Value accounting does. Fair Value accounting reflects the current value of assets, not some made up, uncertain, future value. The last thing we need right now is more fiction in financial statements.

The bail out does more than make me sick, its government social welfare for companies that were poorly run. I don't understand why these poorly run companies can't be allowed to fail. I thought that was part of being a market economy, the successful and smart succeed, the stupid fail.

Did I miss something? When did this country become socialist with government businesses?

As for voting these people out of office, heck we need more than that, christ the bailout has money allocated for frigging toy wooden arrows!!!! I'm just disgusted by the things that our politicians do. I can't help but wonder how long until this idiocy is made plain to the people who care more about voting for a black man or a woman for VP rather than actual issues.

This bail out makes me sick. These terribly run companies are going to get paid to keep doing the same. Nothing is going to change they seem like they want to destroy the country but they want to take everything we have before they do it. Their scam plan is just a band-aid, and doesn't address the true issues. Anyone that votes for this needs to be voted out of office!

Years ago they shifted the welfare dole from the inner cities to the (conservative) rural countryside. Now all that money is going into building and running prisons booting the economies of rural America.

They keep the prisons full and keep the system expanding by having very long mandatory sentences for nonviolent (drug related) crimes.

They keep the drugs flowing by short staffing the DEA, the Boarder Patrol and the Coast Guard.

The policy objective is clearly to keep building more prisons and keep filling them up.

I've had mine about a month, talk for about an hour a day and charge once a day. Usually when I start charging the battery is down to half power.

I have spare power for emergencies, but I've never needed it.

I never have wi-fi and 3g enabled at the same time and fetch mail every 30 minutes. Bluetooth is off. Auto-lock is 1 minute. Location Services are on.

It seems possible that your phone is defective or that the AT&T network configuration causes excessive power consumption.

I have never heard of Elephant Heart plums, but I just bought some at the farmer's market here in Baltimore. I scarfed down 3 as soon as I got home and then immediately did a Google search. Imagine my delight to find that I not only have a bag of plums, but some basil growing on my deck! Now for the vodka...

Yeah, I have the same problem and that's while I'm always charging whenever I'm by a plug, USB port, or car charger! I haven't really played many games on the phone because most of the time I would be playing I can't charge.

Yeah, it's a bit ridiculous. What was shocking to me (and I'm not sure if the numbers are are high now) was the number of non-violent drug offenders behind bars. Some of the liberal rags have written articles on the costs of prison vs. rehabilitation through counseling, job-assistance etc... It seems like politicians risk looking "soft" on crime if they don't keep putting money into making America safe (so, more guards, bars and walls). Sad.
